I've started another blog to share with you some of the delicious, healthy (and sometimes not so healthy) recipes that I like to make, and offer an occasional, light-hearted view of yogic philosophy. This blog also offers a glimpse of my journey and efforts to live more mindfully and consciously. From time to time I'll also include book, movie, food and travel reviews that I think are worth the mention. September 26, 2010 Pink Guava, White Chocolate & Macadamia Nut Ice Cream
Delicate fruity flavour coupled with chunks of white chocolate and macadamia nuts make a sensational dessert treat - perfect for entertaining or just spoiling yourself.
Creamy, luscious hummus, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with sumac and topped with "nutty" roasted chickpeas. Healthy and delicious - you'll never want to buy hummus again.
Proof, in case you ever needed it, that good food doesn't need to be complicated. Nothing could possibly be simpler than this salad, and yet so delicious. Carrot and rocket may be a combo you would not normally think of putting together, but they really work. Vegetarian/vegan.
Who doesn't love ice cream any time of year? This is deliciously creamy and lusciously fruity - nothing more than fresh fruit, free-range eggs, organic milk, and cream. Now how could that possibly be bad?!
August 25, 2010 Sweet Potato, Spinach & Chorizo Salad
Superb "hearty" salad combining crusty, fried, sourdough bread; caramelised sweet potato; smoky chorizo sausage; and black olives, tossed through fresh spinach. Beautiful any time of year, but perfect in the winter when other salad ingredients are out of season.
August 16, 2010 Tandoori Salmon with Orange & Date Mayonnaise
This dish is a knock-out. Perfect for a celebration dish, salmon is always a treat and the mayonnaise is a stunner. Really go to town and serve with some steamed rice, cucumber & mint raita, mango & pistachio nut salsa and some crispy pappadums.
August 16, 2010 Orecchiette with Broccoli & Anchovy Sauce
Delicious, satisfying pasta dish - wonderful complex savouriness (not fishiness) from the anchovies. I promise you will want to make this over and over again - it has become a real stand-by dish for me.
A stunning salad any time of year - perfect for a light lunch, or a beautiful accompaniment to grilled fish or meat. Make now while blood oranges are still plentiful.
A delicious fruit compote, packed with peaches, apricots, figs, cherries and prunes, in a thick syrup fragrant with lemon, vanilla, star anise and manuka honey - serve over thick Greek-style yoghurt for a beautiful winter breakfast or dessert.

A heart-warming, vegetarian dish that's just perfect for a cool, autumn evening. Great flavour and texture, quick and easy to prepare - this makes it to my list of regular stand-by dishes.
